You’ve asked for it – now you’ve got it. A full week of advancing and enhancing your horsemanship skills with Carol Bachmann, former head wrangler at White Stallion Ranch, known for her direct “no-nonsense” approach and tuff love. This unique and educational program is offered to those tenacious individuals who have achieved a minimal riding level of intermediate and are on a quest to advance those skills. Build confidence, become more capable and competent, and enjoy a more gratifying relationship with your horse.
Activities include:
• An adult beverage ‘kick off’ reception
• Arena & trail lessons improving your ability to feel, read and communicate with your horse
• Participate in certified Frank Bell 7 Step Safety demonstrations-bonding/building trust
• Round pen ground work
• Navigating obstacles including barrels
• Read and move cattle like the pros
• Transform English riding skills to improve your Western experience
• Proper grooming, saddling, bridling and bathing
• Observe an Equine Sports massage with Rene Noriega
• Learn how to throw a lasso (from the ground)
A typical ‘kick ass’ day with Carol will consist of lessons and demos in the morning and trail rides in the afternoon.
We’ll visit local bit maker Gordie Alderson’s shop. On Saturday afternoon we will go to the races at historical Rillito Race Track.
